Trate: rich in cultural landmarks and heritage
The exhibition at Cmurek Castle presents other overlooked and forgotten cultural monuments that testify to the rich and eventful history of Trate.
The exhibition invites visitors to the Museum of Madness to take a walk and learn about the lesser-known heritage and history of the place that has developed around Cmurek Castle. Old photographs, artefacts and works of art present Cmurek, the former bustling transport and trade centre by the bridge over the River Mura, the Novi Kinek Castle with its park, Hanson's or Petek's Mill, former farmhouses and cottages, and the artists who found their inspiration here.
